Gods of the Northby *the-Orator

My personal interpretations of the Aesir. I drew a good handful of the goddesses (and Hel, but she's doesn't quite count as a goddess) and most of the gods (I didn't draw Aegir).

Before taking on this project, I had NO idea how fun drawing beards was! I mean its like hair! But on someone's face!!!!! AADDSFHJSDHDJF!

I originally sketched these out in my sketchbook, then colored them on photoshop.

Amazing! I especially love Balder and Tyr's designs. Thor looks a little like a human Simba from "The Lion King" in my opinion. Love them all!

oh by the way..the goddess Hella or Hel...she has half a beautiful face and half a not so beautiful face. its supposed to represent the beauty of life and the not so beautiful death its the way she is described. She is also the ruler of the underworld. Just a F.Y.I no criticism meant

No, I understand
several of the first Norse myths I read described her as having the upper half of a beautiful women and the bottom half of a rotting corpse
I have read other books and stories that describe her the way you said but since the above description was the first one I was exposed its what's stuck with me
